What It Means to Be a Cars.com Dealer of the Year

So, what exactly does it mean to be a Cars.com Dealer of the Year? This award recognizes automotive retailers throughout the United States that demonstrate top-level customer satisfaction as referenced directly from the source! After combing through all of the yearly reviews posted by customers on the Cars.com brand’s network of sites, a winner is chosen based on the most outstanding customer service rating. So, how exactly do they pick a winner?

Choosing a Winner

The Cars.com Dealer of the Year Awards are presented annually to the best automotive retailers with at least 25 reviews on the brand’s platform. These reviews are based on a five-point star rating, and the winner is chosen based on the average stars and the number of reviews during the given calendar year. In addition, management responses to customer inquiries or concerns are also taken into consideration. To summarize, winners must:

• Have at least 25 reviews for the calendar year
• Average a minimum of 4.0, with 5.0 being the highest possible rating
• At least one review in each of the four quarters for the calendar year
• Must not have been blacklisted during the award year
